Japan Powder Skiing Hokkaido Furano

Japan provides an incredible backcountry skiing and riding experience. Immerse yourself in one of the world’s greatest ski destinations: volcanos, ancient forests, chutes, ridge lines, culture, and delicious food.

For 2027, our Hokkaido trip will be based out of the Furano area. Get away from the busy resort areas and experience the true Japanese backcountry. Furano and surrounding areas provide access to many classic Japanese backcountry ski routes. Some of the possible zones we will visit include Asahidake, Furanodake, Tokachidake, and more.

Lead guide Tristen Rasmussen has 7 years of backcountry ski guiding experience in Japan.
